Magen David HS commemorated the fallen soldiers of Israel today. Ms. Elyse Nadjar opened the program with a heartfelt and personal message to the students.
"When I see you in the hallways of MDY, I have no problem saying 'Hi, how are you?'. But when I see a teenager, the same age as most of you, in Israel-I am at a lost for words....Next time you take a picture with a soldier, or see them in Israel, tell them 'Thank you'. They do it for you".
The students were also addressed by two Israeli soldiers, one of them a recent MDY graduate.
